Their fun, engaging music program encourages children and their families to explore their imaginations through song and participate in a positive, creative, and empowering - live musical experience together! Play Date's albums have won Parents' Choice Awards, NAPPA Awards and have garnered rave reviews from NPR, USA Today and The New York Times.

Program length is 40-45 min. followed by a 10-15 min "Meet & Greet" where children can get their poster signed and hi-five the band.

Play Date engages the audience with an authentic, fun, age-appropriate dialogue throughout the program. They ask questions, incorporate movement and creative thought in their story-telling based songs. Play Date shares their passion for creativity, imagination and wonder with the audience.

KEY ELEMENTS: Encouraging imagination & creativity, basic songwriting, storytelling and movement. Target age range is 2-8 but program appeals to all ages.

TOPICS COVERED: Diversity, tolerance, kindness, self-empowerment, and typical Pre-K+ topics (Animals, Colors, Numbers, Alphabet, Poetry, Storytelling.) The song "Colors" is a song they write in real-time with the help of the audience.
